Rapidly growing publishing house seeks full-time, highly motivated, and high-energy editorial assistant to assist with proofreading, writing, and editing. Our company publishes e-letters, e-reports, books, courses, news, and subscription services on the topics of living, retiring, investing, and doing business around the world. We're looking to add a full-time proofreader/editorial assistant to our Panama-based staff.
We require someone in the office in Panama City who can help with proofreading, research, editing, and writing and who can contribute to large-scale editorial projects. Please do not apply unless you already live in Panama City or are moving imminently with a set arrival date.
The successful candidate must read and write English as a first language and must have an open mind, a love of travel and discovery, and a strong work ethic. Previous editorial experience is a plus but not required. You must be smart, have respect for the written word, and want to learn the publishing trade. Most important, you must be adaptable and eager to take on new challenges, as role evolution is guaranteed.
The job description includes daily proofreading at a meticulous level, writing at least 1,000 words a day on various subjects to do with living and investing around the world, and significant copy contributions to our monthly subscription services.
This is an entry-level position with a lot of potential for growth. Starting salary is commensurate with experience ($1,000 monthly).
