Summary of the role
The Internal Project Management is responsible for supporting PM and PSQ, helping them managing clients and projects; starting from the request for quotation, the Internal Project Manager follows the entire order management process up to the actual delivery, guaranteeing the respect of the deadline.
Specific job responsibilities
Project Execution
- Supervises the internal execution of the project, for the operations related to the production plant;
- The IPM deals with the management and execution of the technical part of the projects in order to satisfy the requests and needs expressed by the customer.
- Participates in all kickoff-meetings (KOM)
- Ensures that the product is available for inspections and supports team with timely shipment;
- Supports project execution within the defined timeframe; proactively handles risks and potential delays;
- Solves the critical points of the project in a proactive way, guaranteeing the delivery of the product within the time required by the clients.
Project Site Lead
- Communicates with key functions for production-related audits and it shares with them the project requirements, ensuring timely communication between the various departments;
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production for supervising work progress; it acts as a contact point for technical changes;
- Works closely with Production Planning, Buyer, Suppliers, Value Streams & Quality to ensure project timelines are met;
- Provides the information needed for corporate project planning, including: delivery times, key milestones;
- Identifies any risks associated with the execution of the project and undertakes mitigating actions.
Customer Relationship
- Handles clients and/or their representatives during local visits and inspections;
- Prepares the program for inspections and shipping, ensuring compliance with the deadline shared with the clients.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Technical degree in Engineering or related field;
- Fluent in English & French;
- At least 2 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in project management;
- Ability to understand the technical details;
- Excellent knowledge of the Office Package (especially Excel), and preferably ERP system;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Goal oriented and ability to work independently;
- Decision making and problemsolving abilities.
