Your role
The Financial Institutions department, Latin America and the Caribbean team is looking for an enthusiastic Portfolio Analyst. In this role you are mainly in charge of monitoring a portfolio of contracted investments, which include:

- Preparing credit reviews including market and financial analysis.
- Building relationships with existing clients on an operational working level and responding to client's requests for information.
- Drafting approval documents and supporting the process for transactions with existing clients.
- Drafting proposals for the Portfolio Monitoring Committee, change requests and disbursement memos.
- Undertaking administrative tasks regarding file completion (compliance, reporting, Know Your Customer).
Our offer
We offer a gross yearly salary of between EUR 55 - 65 K per year (including holiday allowance). We also have an annual personal development budget for EUR 2,700. Besides that: a combination of working at the office and from home (50-50%) and 60 days working remotely abroad (if you wish), mobility allowance and 31 holidays.

Your team
FMO's Financial Institutions department invests in financial institutions with long-term goals that deliver impact for their local economies and communities. The FI department is divided into four regional teams: i) Africa; ii) Asia; iii) Eastern Europe Central Asia – Middle East North Africa (ECA-MENA) and iv) Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).The Latin America and the Caribbean consists of 11 highly motivated individuals split into Investment Officers who are in charge of business- and market development and client relationships, (Senior) Associates who support Investment Officers in new transaction execution and (Senior) Portfolio Analysts who manage the relationships with the existing clients, including new transactions.
Besides offering financial products tailored to the needs of our clients (long-term senior, local currency, syndications), the department contributes to FMO's overall goal of becoming a leading impact investor by selecting transactions based on the perceived impact on economic growth, inclusiveness, and green development.
Your background
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, finance, engineering or business administration.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience of which at least 2 years working with financial institutions.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good Spanish language skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven analytical and risk assessment skills.
